covid 19 policy

Please read this section thoroughly, as it covers very important COVID-19 policies and procedures. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Children and staff wash their hands frequently.

Hand sanitizer is used when necessary or when the sink is not available. Toys are sanitized every time we take them out and before we put them away. We also sanitize common surfaces with a bleach solution as often as possible. No outside toys should be brought to the daycare. We ask everyone to wear a face mask which includes parents, children and staff members, and please use social distancing rules. Cloth face masks should NOT be put on babies and children under 2 years old. We are aware that some children may not want to wear a mask but we will encourage them to wear it. We have air purifier units in every room, and UV disinfection lamps for 360 degree sanitation. All our soap, sanitizers and paper towels dispensers are contactless. Our school building is a new building, and has a great ventilation in place. The children’s cod bedding is washed (sanitized) weekly.

This is the best daycare my family ever had. I miss the teachers; the love they gave my daughter, the program is wonderful. The Covid-19 protocol they follow is amazing. My daughter never got sick there. Everything is so clean, neat, and pretty. Claraisabel and I miss you so much. Keep up your great work.

Temperature will be taken with a non contact thermometer at drop off and periodically throughout the day.

Any child with temp. 100*F or higher will need to be picked-up immediately.  If a parent cannot come immediately, an arrangement must be made. If a fever is detected, the child cannot return to school until they are fever free for 72 hours with no medicine. Tests for strep throat, flu and covid-19 needs to be done. The note from the child’s pediatrician is necessary with the doctors stamp on it in order to come back to school. If the child has a cold, she/he needs to stay home for 5 days before returning to school.  Children cannot attend school if any of the following symptoms occur: Runny nose, chills, sore throat, red or water eyes, muscle aches, sneezing, coughing, breathing difficulty, loss of appetite, yellow-green nasal discharge, fever 100*F, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, eye discharge or sick appearance. Please refrain from giving your child medication to lower the fever or for any other symptom and proceeding to send him/her off to school as it puts everyone at risk, and can result in terminating your place at child care. With increased sanitation guidelines and regulations in process for children’s safety, we must approve the child’s return to school after being sick, even if a doctor’s note is provided. If a parent or anyone at home is sick, children must remain at home or have another arrangement made for care until the parent/family member has been cleared of Covid-19. If a child is exposed to a person diagnosed with Covid-19, they cannot return to Daycare for a period of 14 days.
