A Day in the Life at Little Bees

 

Infants

Our days follow a gentle rhythm that balances play, learning, rest, and nourishment. While we maintain a consistent routine to help children feel secure, we allow flexibility to meet each child’s individual needs.

• 8:30–8:45: Arrival, health check, free choice play (puzzles, blocks, sensory activities)

• 9:00: Snack and morning bottle (if needed)

• 9:30: Morning nap for infants, quiet play for older children

• 10:00: Art time – drawing, painting, and creative exploration

• 10:30: Circle time – songs, stories, and group activities

• 11:15: Outdoor play and nature exploration

• 12:00: Lunch, clean-up, and handwashing

• 12:30: Rest and nap time

• 2:30: Music, movement, and yoga

• 3:00: Afternoon snack or bottle

• 3:30: Wash up and prepare for home

• 4:15–4:30: Pick-up and end-of-day goodbyes

 

Toddlers

Our daily rhythm balances independent exploration, group learning, outdoor play, rest, and nourishment. We keep a consistent structure to help children feel secure while allowing flexibility to meet their needs and interests.

• 8:30–8:45: Arrival, health check, and free choice activities (puzzles, building, art, sensory play)

• 8:45–9:00: Morning routine – wash hands and prepare for the day

• 9:00–9:30: Morning snack and social time

• 9:30–10:30: Creative expression – art, drawing, painting, and playdough activities

• 10:30–11:00: Circle time – songs, stories, discussions, and Montessori lessons

• 11:00–11:45: Outdoor play and nature exploration

• 11:45–12:30: Lunch and clean-up

• 12:30–2:30: Rest time or quiet individual activities

• 2:30–3:00: Music, yoga, and movement activities

• 3:00–3:30: Afternoon snack and conversation

• 3:30–4:00: Gentle transition activities and tidy-up

• 4:15–4:30: Pick-up and end-of-day reflections
